Winter Outdoor Archery League

2008/2009 Plans and Schedule

The format is for this season is ''Bare Bow'', the same as last year. That means no sights of any type. This isn’t really new – we use this format now and then just to add a little variety to the format! If your bow has sights, just remove them and you are all set to shoot “Bare Bow”!

There will be three styles of shooting.

·         Compound Release

·         Compound Fingers

·         Recurve/Longbow.

League fee will be $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for juniors.

All fees are due by the second match.

There will be 12 targets. Six will be shot from the ground and six will be shot from the platform.

The targets are the small animal pictures that we have used in the past.

There will be 5 shots at each target for a total of 60 arrows.

Remember; league rules state that you must shoot at least 3 of the 5 matches including at least 1 of the first 2.

Shooting time is 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the following dates:

·         Sunday November 9th, 2008

·         Sunday December 14th, 2008

·         Sunday January 11th, 2009

·         Sunday February 8th, 2009

·         Sunday March 8th, 2009

Well, the 2007/2008 winter league is finally over. And it was a cold, snowy winter!. The winning team is Team #2!
