Bow Hunters Tune Up

Come out and join us at the Stand-up Archery Range for the Bow Hunters Tune UP. This event is designed to be a practical shooting setting to better prepare the shooter for the hunting season. We will be shooting out to 30 yards from the ground and from a 13’ and 17’ elevated platforms. We will supply targets and back-stops. You supply the fun! This is also a great opportunity to share info about hunting equipment whether it is the “tried and true” or the “latest and greatest”!

Dates  and Cost:

Every Thursday night 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, from June 4, 2009 through August 27, 2009
The cost is $30.00

 

Course of fire weeks 1-9:

 

From the ground shooting at 20 yards using an 80cm target, the shooter must

shoot 30 arrows and attain a score of 250 points to be allowed to advance to the

30 yard target.

 

From the ground shooting at 30 yards using an 80cm target, the shooter must

shoot 30 arrows and attain a score of 250 points to be allowed to advance to the

elevated 20 yard target.

 

From the elevated platform shooting at 20 yards using an 80cm target, the shooter must shoot 30 arrows and attain a score of 250 points to be allowed to advance to the elevated 30 yard target.

 

From the elevated platform shooting at 30 yards using an 80cm target, the shooter must shoot 30 arrows and attain a score of 250 points.

 

Course of fire weeks 10-11:

 

If the shooters are successful we will set up 3D animal target to be shot from the

Elevated platform at 20 & 30 yards

 

Course of fire weeks 12:

 

This will be dedicated to the broadhead pits, so the shooter can tune-up their equipment before hunting season opens.

 

Range Requirements:

 

Due to available space, we will be shooting multiple line sometime at elevated platforms we will be using the following whistle commands

 

2 Whistles = Shooters to Line

1 Whistle = Nock and Shoot

3 Whistles = All Clear (retrieve arrow)

4 Whistles = STOP EMERGENCY
