A bit of History
The WWCCA Boosters Committee was formed from the WWCCA Friends of the NRA (FNRA) committee. Using the methods and procedures learned from their years of association with the FNRA, the WWCCA Boosters has been able to offer generous grants to the WWCCA disciplines. The purpose of the Boosters is to raise funds and distribute them to support the disciplines of WWCCA.
Ongoing Events
- Raffles for new handguns or ammo are held at the monthly WWCCA Membership meetings. Drawings are held during the membership meetings and the winner must be present to win.
- Twice a year, Boosters conducts a “Go Big” gun raffle for a more expensive gun. Tickets for these raffles are sold over a period of several months and the winner does not need to be present at the drawing to win. The next Fall Big Gun Raffle will take place at the December 1, 2025 Membership Meeting.
- In the fall, Boosters holds a Craft Fair at the club.
- Once a year, Boosters holds a Cinco de Mayo Banquet complete with a dinner, multiple games to win a gun, Bucket Raffles, and a Silent Auction. This is the major fund-raising event of the year. New in 2026, the event will be held on a Friday night.
- Other fund-raising options are discussed at monthly meetings.
Boosters Membership and Meetings
The Boosters committee is open to all members and associate members of WWCCA. Having a broad range of committee members assures all disciplines are represented in the fund-raising activities. Each discipline can offer their unique viewpoint and provide a wide scope of ideas to promote successful fund-raising.
The committee meets monthly at 1 pm in the WWCCA Clubhouse on the second Tuesday of the month, the week following the Monthly Membership meeting. During the month before the Banquet, the committee may meet every two weeks, or as needed.
